ICE CREAM CUPS (2019)

Eating ice cream year-round is a tradition that spans all generations in Iceland, a cultural phenomenon that is unlike any other. Concurrently, we are becoming increasingly conscious of single-use plastic and non-recyclable waste materials. This project aimed to create a range of containers in the spirit of the re-usable cup movement, that could be taken to ice cream shops throughout Iceland in a bid to reduce single-use cups. The ergonomic form, inspired by the curves of soft-serve ice cream, is double-walled to insulate contents, whilst increasing its multifunctionality for hot or cold contents.

Project developed at the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts (Myndlistaskólinn í Reykjavík).
